The Engineer Who Answers the Phone
Doug Hoffman didn't learn this work from a corner office. He learned it in the field, testing water, diagnosing chemistry problems, and building treatment programs for Ohio's industrial facilities since 1998. With a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a conviction that water treatment should be led by engineers instead of sales teams, he founded Hoffman Water in 2018 to bring that work under his own name.
For more than 25 years, he has designed, installed, and maintained water treatment systems for some of Ohio's most demanding operations. From manufacturing floors to food processing plants, Doug's approach has always been the same: understand the water, understand the equipment it feeds, and build a program that protects both.
That story isn't a marketing line. It's how Doug built his business: one midnight call, one solved problem, one relationship at a time. When your system goes down, Doug doesn't send a dispatcher. He picks up the phone himself.
As pretreatment demand from industrial clients grew, covering water softening, filtration, and specialty treatment, Doug created Hoffman Soft Water as a dedicated division. The goal was simple: give pretreatment the focused attention it deserves, backed by the same engineering discipline and personal accountability Doug has brought to Ohio's industrial facilities for nearly three decades.
