No advertising network runs here, and we sell nothing about you to anyone. ## What a cookie is A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so the site recognises the same browser across page loads. Local storage and session storage keep data in your browser much the same way, and this page covers those too. ## Cookies this site sets ### Strictly necessary You cannot refuse this one here, because the form stops working without it. - **Cloudflare Turnstile.** Appears when you open the site assessment form. Turnstile confirms a person is filling in the form, not a bot, and stores a short-lived token for that check. [Cloudflare](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/) sets it. ### Analytics These tell us which pages you read and where you give up, so we can fix what confuses you. You can refuse them and lose nothing. - **Microsoft Clarity** (`_clck`, `_clsk`). Records anonymised page views, clicks and scroll depth, then aggregates them into heatmaps and session replays. `_clck` holds a browser identifier for about a year. `_clsk` groups page views into one session and expires in about a day. Clarity masks text input by default, so it never captures what you type into the form. [Microsoft](https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement) sets both. ### Advertising and tracking None. This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no retargeting or affiliate tracking. ## Refusing analytics Refuse the analytics cookies and the only thing you cost us is our view of which pages earn their place. Any of these work: - **Opt out of Clarity.** Microsoft honours a browser-level opt-out, which its [privacy statement](https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement) explains. - **Block third-party cookies.** Your browser's privacy settings will do this, and it stops Clarity here and on every other site. - **Use a tracker blocker.** The standard blocking lists already name Clarity. - **Clear what is there now.** Deleting cookies for this site wipes anything from earlier visits.
